1. Eligibility & accounts

The Services support Design Thinking @ SL programmes, including the ICE (Innovation, Creativity & Entrepreneurship) Bootcamp. Access is generally by invitation or approval, and some features are limited to registered participants, mentors, or members. You must provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

2. Google & workspace accounts

You can sign in to the Services with your Google Account. For approved participants and members, we may provision a @designthinking.lk Google Workspace account for use with the programme. These Workspace accounts are administered by our organisation and are also subject to Google’s terms. Provisioned accounts remain the property of Design Thinking @ SL and may be suspended or removed when your participation ends.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
  • post or upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or offensive;
  • impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to use;
  • disrupt, overload, or attempt to breach the security of the Services; or
  • use automated means to access the Services except as we expressly permit.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create or upload — including profile details, posts, messages, project materials, images, and videos (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant Design Thinking @ SL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and use it as needed to operate and promote the Services and the programme. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights necessary to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

5. Intellectual property

The Services, including their design, text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by Design Thinking @ SL and its partners and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Services except as expressly permitted.

6. Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties, including Google (Workspace and Google Cloud) and, where you opt in, GitHub. Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, including Google user data. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described there.

8. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required for security or legal reasons, or when your participation in a programme ends. On termination, your right to use the Services stops, and provisioned accounts and content may be removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Design Thinking @ SL, the Augmented Human Lab, the SHA Foundation, and their people and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
